Projects - Priory Square
Priory Square has been constructed on Priory Street as a new public space for the town centre, leading to a new twitten (walkway) linking to Havelock Road. The square includes trees and seating is also the entrance for the new offices at One Priory Square A retail unit in the square is being marketed as a restaurant.
Disabled users can access the Square from the improved and new twitten along Havelock Road. A sloped access has also been provided from Priory Street adjacent to the Post Office.
Reasons For Development
Priory Square provides improved access east to west between Havelock Road and Priory Street. It also provides the entrance for new offices at One Priory Square. The space is designed to be used for outdoor dining, performances and as a meeting point.
